HOW HARD? Don’t overcomplicate it. - Just like any new program you should be commencing this one by reducing your proximity to failure and focusing on technique. Whether you’re doing new movements or a new rep range the process remains the same. You can ALWAYS improve technique. - Just because you see the big boys smashing max effort sets on YouTube videos doesn’t mean that’s always how they train. - If you trained just as hard (albeit in higher rep ranges) over lockdown then you should be fine a round 3 reps from failure. If you did bugger all then maybe start at 4-5 away and be careful with your range of motion. Your joint and their components may not have been subjected to that amount of force at that angle for a while and need a couple of sessions to come out of their new normal. - Give yourself plenty of room to progress on every session for the next couple of months. - Link in bio for everything else you need to know / consider.
